The Wells and Area Trails Society is a non-profit, volunteer-run society that works to develop, maintain, and improve the non-motorized trails in the Wells, BC area. We encourage all forms of non-motorized recreation including hiking, biking, skiing, and snowshoeing.
Wells boasts an amazing network of summer and winter trails adjacent to the community. Trailheads are an easy walk from anywhere in the community. The trails are signed and easy to access. Visit our website for maps and more information. You can also sign up for regular trail updates.
We do not charge trail fees! We ask that you pack out what you pack in, and please pick up after your pooch. Let us know if there is fresh blow down that needs clearing, or better yet, come help us! You can support us by becoming a member.
We also host one of the most popular winter events in the Cariboo – The Wells International Gourmet Ski – held the third Saturday in February. Spend a wonderful day skiing on our groomed cross-country trails and sampling gourmet delights at various food stations along the way. With a limit of 100 registrants, it is usually sold out!
