Job Creation Partnership Wells High-School Project Job Posting

Overview: The Wells and Area Community Association (WAACA) is pleased to announce that we have received funding from the Provincial Government through the Job Creation Partnership (JCP) in order to create two temporary positions within the organization. Therefore, WACCA is seeking two EI eligible (either currently collecting EI benefits, have collected EI benefits in the past two years or maternity benefits in the past five years) individuals to participate in the program.
Time-line: The project will run from May 1 to October 31, 2017.
Job Description: The objective of the positions will be to investigate and create a feasibility study around the concept of creating an Outdoor Nature/Art Themed High School in Wells. The participants will work under the direction of the JCP Supervisor and Executive Director in order to complete research, write a feasability study and present their findings to the wider community. The nature of the JCP is that it is a training program designed to give unemployed individuals the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience and training. Therefore, no prior experience or skills are required, although a knowledge and familiarity with the community of Wells will be a desired asset. This is an excellent opportunity to learn essential work skills and experience.
